The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, recently launched her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which will see her sell jams and kitchenware.
However, Meghan’s new venture, which features the Duchess’s royal coat of arms and calligraphy, appears to have raised eyebrows as the announcement coincided with Prince William’s speech at a memorial held in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana.
The former actress’ announcement also comes as the Princess of Wales faces backlash for “editing” her Mother’s Day photo.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the big announcement to coincide with Prince William’s speech at a memorial to honor the late Princess Diana.
According to Daily MailWilliam and Harry are scheduled to appear at the Diana Legacy Awards at the Science Museum in London.
The Prince of Wales attended the event in person and reportedly left around 8:15pm UK time, while Harry was due to appear virtually from Montecito. However, until late at night, the Duke’s speech did not seem to happen as he and the Duchess were miles across the Atlantic to attend to other matters.
“The Sussexes, in my opinion, don’t do anything by accident, and timing is often of the essence,” Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliam said of Harry and Meghan’s actions.

He continued, “We found out that one way over the weekend, and we’ve just been reminded that there might be more pictures in their lockers than we thought. And it’s not a coincidence.”
Fitzwilliam added that the pair had been “unpredictable” before but were “predictable” when it came to “the unerring moment when they believed it would be beneficial to get information,” adding that “they didn’t do anything by accident. “
The fact that the duo’s announcement came as the Princess of Wales faced heavy criticism for her Photoshopped Mother’s Day image has also raised eyebrows.

The Sussexes raised eyebrows when they used Diana’s memorial night to make two announcements.
First, the “Suits” actor previously announced the launch of his lifestyle brand via a sparkling Instagram video. The brand is said to have been in the works for some time and will feature “all things close to his heart.”
According to Daily Mail, Meghan has filed trademark applications covering cutlery, cookbooks, coffee, jams, jellies and butter. The app also extends to physical stores, where tableware, mugs, tablecloths and recipe books can be sold.
Following William’s speech, the Sussexes released another video to congratulate Dr. Joy Buolamwini, this year’s winner of the NAACP-Archewell Foundation’s “Digital Civil Rights” Award.
The footage saw Buolamwini surprised by the couple’s shock as Meghan praised her for being “an expert and an inspiration,” with Harry stating that she is one of the most “inspiring, passionate and impactful figures in AI.”

According to the news channel, a royal commentator is concerned about the strained relationship between the brothers.
Although Harry later participated in a video call with the winner of the Diana Legacy Award after William left the event, Ingrid Seward said that Princess Diana would insist they put aside their feud to present the award in her honour.
“And if he fails, I think he will insist that they are united, however briefly, by speaking via video link to celebrate the prize winners organized in his name,” Seward added.
The couple previously made an appearance together at the awards ceremony. Their constant failure to acknowledge each other shows just how bad their relationship has gotten over the years.
Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day Photo Fiasco Continues

It all happened after Kate caused a stir with a family photo that turned out to be “heavily edited”.
To mark British Mother’s Day, Kensington Palace released a photo of Kate and her children. The princess has been MIA since undergoing stomach surgery in January, and the cute image is meant to help quell rumors about her whereabouts.
Due to the “manipulation” of the photo, major news agencies, including Reuters and AP, later issued memos to the outlet to “kill” its publication.
Kate later accepted she was to blame, stating in a social media post that “like many amateur photographers,” she sometimes “experiments with editing.”
“I would like to apologize for any confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday. I hope everyone celebrating has a very happy Mother’s Day. C,” he added on X (formerly Twitter).
Royal Author Slams Prince William For Letting Kate Take The Fall

The Princess of Wales’ decision to apologize did not sit well with Richard Eden, a columnist for Daily Mailwho said on “Palace Confidential” that Kate was “thrown under the bus” and that William’s behavior was “disrespectful” and “disgraceful”.
He recently added that the couple’s “well-paid” communications specialist, Lee Thompson, and whoever was “operating the cameras” were to blame.
“It seems to me that he and other senior officials seem more interested in avoiding tarnishing their own reputations than protecting our future queen as she recovers from major surgery,” Eden said.
“While we accept that Catherine altered the picture when it was passed to her officials, who would have encouraged her to share the happy picture, they should have scrutinized it,” the royal expert added.
Eden concluded, “In his senior position, Thompson would have known that media organizations were increasingly concerned about the digital manipulation of images. British newspapers would not publish news photographs that had been altered in this way.”
