In the caption of the post, the conservative writer became emotional, expressing the sadness brought on by the loss of his father. She wrote, “5 years ago today, I couldn’t have imagined how I would have survived – the pain was so early and raw, and frankly I don’t think the world could still have light without my Dad. It.”

According to the Daily Mail columnist, he got full life experience and, importantly, learned things about politics because of his father. Therefore, when he died, he was very sad and openly mourned his loss. Recalling how he mourned, the writer stated, “I grieved deeply and openly. It’s very different from most stupid politicians.”

In the final part of his message, McCain encouraged those who were grieving. She wrote, “be kind to yourself, scream, cry, get help of all kinds, call friends, family, therapist,” adding that counseling helped her. At the end of the message, Meghan stated, “I love you Dad, I know I will see you again one day.”

Last month, the writer also marked his dad’s favorite weekend of the year, the Fourth of July weekend. She uploaded a throwback photo of the maverick in all smiles with the caption, “Fourth of July weekend was your favorite. It still hurts without you. For those unaware, the former Senator passed away in 2018 after battling stage four brain cancer. Still clinging to the memories he shares with his father, McCain has previously told how he sees a piece of his late father in his daughter, Liberty, who he shares with Ben Domenech.

He explained that his girl “did this thing with her hands, and [my dad] used to do that all the time. I didn’t do it. I don’t know where it came from, but he’s doing it now.”

And with my dad in particular, he’s been so amazing for most of my life in so many different ways. But with my daughter, it’s just pure. He is perfect.”
