Pop music lover Meghan Trainor has just opened up about the significant changes in her body after giving birth to her son with husband Daryl Sabara. The couple married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony held in their backyard and welcomed their son Riley earlier last year.
Since giving birth in February, Trainor has detailed the ups and downs of motherhood, including the challenges she faced during childbirth. Trainor had diabetes during her previous pregnancy and had to keep the newborn in the hospital for almost a week due to breathing problems.

Trainor revealed that after giving birth to her son, she was “the heaviest I’ve ever been.” The singer also participated ET Canada in an interview and explained that when she operated on her baby, she weighed more than 200 pounds. Between the February delivery and now, Trainor has reportedly dropped at least 60 pounds.
During the interview, the “Dear Future Husband” singer admitted that dealing with the new scars caused by the C-section was a lot for her because she had never had an injury that required stitches.
“I don’t feel great,” Meghan said. “I’ve never had stitches, so to have this C-section scar, I’m in a very dark place, and I want to be in a good place for my son.”

Trainor went on to talk about how she managed to lose her weight and revealed that she doesn’t think any type of challenge is as difficult as labor. He explained that he was very dedicated to his program and soon began to see results. “So, I work every day and challenge myself. I was like, ‘If I can survive a C-section, I can do anything!’” says the artist.
“I was very dedicated, and I started to see the pounds come off like one week at a time, one pound at a time.” Trainor revealed that she discovered several new things after starting her weight loss journey, including her food preferences and other aspects of a healthy lifestyle.
“I learned that I love healthy food, and I learned the meaning of portions,” the “All About That Base” singer said. “And I learned my brain is very happy when I exercise, so I just [feeling] better than ever.” She also talked about her increased confidence with her current “eight/nine” size.

In an interview with MailOnline last month, Trainor talked about how she felt after giving birth and some of the physical changes that took place. He explained that the change is reflected in “Takin’ It Back,” his latest album released last month. “The first song I wrote after giving birth, I mean after having a C-section with my stretch marks, I felt more, like, unloving myself,” she said.
“I was heavier than I had ever been, and I was so lost. The first song I wrote was called Remind Me, and it was about how my husband reminded me of who I was and then how beautiful he thought I was, and I see a lot of that in this album,” Trainor continued.
The “Me Too” singer reflected further on what motherhood has made her realize about herself. Trainor revealed that she now knows that she is much stronger than she previously thought. He added, “Every day that I think is hard, I’m then like, ‘It’s not hard, you know?’ And it actually makes me do hard things like go to the gym every day… I’m a badass, and I’m strong.”

Trainor went into great detail about parenting while talking to her parents in February this year. During the interview, the artist touched on the rewards of parenthood and how everything she had to go through to have her child was worth it. She explained that during pregnancy and childbirth, she faced many bumps.
This included a diagnosis of gestational diabetes as well as the caesarean section she had to undergo when giving birth to Riley. Trainees also suffer from PTSD after birth, and newborns suffer from early breathing problems. Because of this, Riley’s first five days were spent in the NICU.
Trainor also touched on the topic of breastfeeding and how difficult it is for her. “When you google or search on YouTube? They don’t tell you why it can be annoying. I’ll tell you why it might be annoying! Sometimes your nipples aren’t big enough for your baby’s mouth. I didn’t know that was humanly possible!” the artist said.
