Mia Khalifa doesn’t back down from helping women leave unhappy marriages.
In a recent video she posted online, the former adult film star addressed criticism over a previous clip in which she discussed her three marriages and encouraged women not to hesitate to leave unhappy marriages. While his initial statement drew praise from some followers, the 30-year-old faced backlash from others who questioned his credibility for offering marriage advice based on his own relationship history.

Following the backlash he received for giving unsolicited advice, Khalifa uploaded another TikTok recording, claiming that he failed to understand the problems with the opinions and advice he shared about marriage. In his words:
“I fail to see what’s wrong with telling young women, who marry young, that if they’re in a relationship that’s unhealthy and toxic, and makes them unhappy, that’s just because they made a ‘commitment,’ they’re not stuck. in this relationship.”

He then claimed that the people who have been “crazy” about his stance are “men who have become toxic in these relationships, who are afraid that their women will have self-awareness, and exercise free will, and leave them.” The Khalifa further asserted:
“Because the only thing that binds their relationship is probably the fact that they made a ‘commitment,’ and their religion and family.”
The former adult film star concluded by pointing out that she wants to dispel the idea that people “need to stay in a relationship” that they are “committed to,” adding, “You don’t. If you’re not happy, get out of there.”
A look at the comments section reveals that the Massanutten Military Academy alum has people in her corner, with this one writing, “@Nataly Martinez: Preach!!! It’s sad because I see so many women go through difficult situations because they are always told to stay in unhealthy relationships ?.”
A second viewer said, “People are afraid to start all over again or think because they put so much time in, they don’t want it to go to waste! But no! In an initial video uploaded to TikTok on July 31, Khalifa recounted his marital journey, beginning with his first marriage at the age of 18, which ended in divorce at the age of 21. Although the next attempt at “happily ever after” came at the age of 25, it soon fell apart, resulting in a divorce at the age of 28.

The Lebanese-American beauty also revealed that her third engagement happened at the age of 29, but she ended the relationship by the time she turned 30. After reflecting on her rocky romantic past, she passionately tells the audience, “we don’t have to be afraid to leave this. man,” because “we’re not stuck with these people.” He explained further:
“Marriage is not a sacred thing, it is a piece of paper. It’s a commitment you make to someone, but if you don’t feel like you’re getting anything out of that commitment and you try, you need to leave. You have to go.”
