Paris made jaws drop as she walked the red carpet in a chic black gown that featured a shimmering cutout in the middle and a thigh-high slit. The famous daughter kept her accessories very minimal, rocking a pair of earrings with a bracelet.

Her blonde hair was dyed with subtle ginger as she posed elegantly in front of the camera. However, Paris’ new hair wasn’t the most surprising thing about her appearance at the Grammys. The “Hit Your Knees” singer was spotted without a single tattoo on her body.

It’s not news that the 25-year-old has multiple tattoos adorning her body — more than 80 of them — but none of them were seen during the big awards night. Luckily, Paris doesn’t keep her fans guessing about how she achieves the clean look. The legendary singer’s daughter shared a timelapse of her glam squad covering up plenty of ink with makeup from brand Cover FX.

“#CoverFX means business when they say a full coverage cream foundation will keep me covered,” she captioned the upload. Opening up about how the process went and why she decided to flaunt the big change, Paris told ET Tonight:

It takes several hours. Well, I like to switch things up. I love my tattoos, I love my piercings, I love all the body modification stuff, art, and also sometimes I don’t want it to distract from the art that is the fashion that I wear. And it gives the outfit its own moment, you know?”

Although Paris was happy with her change of look, many of her fans did not share her enthusiasm as they took to her comments section to share their disapproval. “Bro, I just said earlier today that I can’t imagine Paris without her tattoos, and here you are ??,” lamented one fan.

Another asked, “Why are we protecting them? genuine question,” while another wrote, “Hi Paris Jackson, I don’t understand why you paid for that tattoo. If that’s what makes you happy, I support you. But if it’s to please other people, don’t do it, you are the most beautiful woman in the world. “

Others, however, came to the defense of Paris. “It’s like wearing makeup, guys! Relax she’s not hiding who she is, she wants to be more feminine and glam and I’m all about it,” advised a follower. Paris’ tattoo cleanup comes months after she responded to Offset’s revelation that she had a large tattoo of her father Michael Jackson.

He took to Instagram to tell his fans about how a “photographer” from a media outlet approached him to ask what he thought about the “Clout” rapper’s ink on his late father. Explaining how the tattoo doesn’t rub her the wrong way, Paris casually declared she thought Offset’s gesture was “cool and all.

As for why she decided to tell her story to her 4.2 million followers, the singer revealed that she wanted to be upfront about it before it became news.
