A Missouri doctor died suddenly at her fiancé’s home earlier this month – more than three years after another woman was found dead at the same man’s home.
Dr. Sarah Sweeney, 39, was found dead at 6:39 a.m. in a home in the Westwood area of St. Louis on January 13, First Alert 4 reported.
“There were no obvious signs of trauma” on the body, the Frontenac Police Department told Fox News Digital.
While autopsy results are still pending, Sweeney’s death is being investigated as a sudden death, Cpl. Tim Duda told the outlet.
The Frontenac Police Department did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on the investigation.
Sweeney was found at the home of her fiancé, local fire captain Robert Daus, his mother, Teresa Sweeney Light, claimed to Fox.
Sweeney — who recently opened her own podiatry practice — and Daus met while the former was working an emergency room shift shortly after she moved to the St. Louis area. Louis, explained the grieving mother.

Daus was listed as the 911 caller on the incident report obtained by Fox News Digital.
Nearly four years earlier, in July 2020, firefighters called 911 from a previous address in Creve Coeur to report that his then-fiancee, Grace Holland, had allegedly shot herself in the head in front of him, Fox said.
Holland – a mother of four – later determined to die by suicide.

Holland’s family, however, disputed the suicide ruling on the grounds that he was left-handed, but allegedly shot himself in the left temple.
Her $20,000 engagement ring also appeared in photos of the crime scene, but later disappeared, Fox News Digital reported.
The Holland family later sued Daus for wrongful death.
In the months before Holland’s death, Daus allegedly controlled Holland’s finances and threatened several times to end the relationship, filings obtained by Fox News Digital allege.
Holland’s family also suspected him of domestic violence, he added.

“My brother in blue will not do anything to me. I’ve taken care of that. You’re a crazy girlfriend,” a relative allegedly overheard Daus telling Holland at one point.
Text messages obtained as part of the lawsuit also shed light on the couple’s frequent fights, which once culminated with Daus writing “I absolutely cannot bw [sic] you I’m not married to you.”
Wrongful death litigation is ongoing.
An attorney for the Holland family did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
When Sweeney’s family heard about Holland’s death, they sent him the news, the late doctor’s mother told Fox News Digital.

However, by November 2021, Sweeney stopped responding to messages from his mother and stepfather.
“She is an adult, a doctor and a woman. We don’t know what to do,” Light said of her concerns about her daughter’s relationship with Daus.
Light declined to speculate on her daughter’s cause of death – but noted that the doctor suffered from mast cell activation syndrome, which can be life-threatening when controlled with medication.
Sweeney is also dealing with a bone disorder, First Alert 4 said, citing court records from November 2022 where doctors allege he had been harassed by his previous employer.
The West Virginia native had been hospitalized and intubated the previous year, records said.
“We just wish we could have it back. We just want closure, we want it to be honest and fair, and so far, we’re still in shock,” lamented Light.
