Nick has been forced to attend anger management classes and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings after his rude reaction to a paparazzo taking pictures of him and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, leaving a restaurant.

The incident between the American singer and a paparazzo named Jody Santos happened last year on March 27 in Beverly Hills. Santos later filed a report with the Beverly Hills Police, who charged the singer with assault and battery.

Seeing that Nick had not received any official punishment for his actions, Santos harassed the Beverly Hills Police Department for months until he received an answer that the tv personality had been ordered to take classes to deal with his anger.

“He has to finish [anger management and AA] in a reasonable time, which is like a year or more,” Santos told Daily Mail. “If he fails to do so, they will move forward to charge him with insubordination, and he will be arrested.”

Santos, in his chat with the publication, told his side of the story, saying that at the time of the incident, he was on a routine trip around Beverly Hills to photograph celebrities leaving a fancy restaurant.

Upon seeing Nick and Vanessa step out of the famous Mastro’s Steakhouse, he crossed the street and took a picture of the two of them.

However, as soon as Nick notices her, he approaches her car “all aggressively,” as if to make love to Santos.

“I immediately locked the door and rolled up my window as quickly as possible. He then started punching the window,” Paparazzo recalled of the “Masked Singer” alum’s reaction, adding that he was “surprised he didn’t break the window.”

Santos also shared that Nick called her nasty names and tried to “grab her cell phone” after she rolled down the window a little to talk to him. He also remembered the smell of alcohol on his breath.

Nick Lachey Still Apologizes To Paparazzo

For his part, Nick claims Santos “harassed” him, his wife, and a dear friend during dinner by taking pictures of them without being asked. But he admitted that his reaction to the incident should have been more reasonable.

“I obviously overreacted. I’ve been in the game long enough to know that their antics are part of the deal. Stupid with me. Done,” tweeted the singer a day after the argument with Santos, per Daily Mail.

Although Nick addressed the issue online at the time, it appears he has yet to apologize to Santos.

“Until today, Nick has not taken any responsibility. He allowed it. He thought this was done, but it wasn’t done,” said the photographer

“A personal apology was rejected, then a written apology was rejected. No one from his team has called and asked, ‘Are you ok?’”

‘He Needs To Be Accountable For His Actions’

In his interview, Santos also explained why he harassed the police department for months until something was done. “I want Nick to know that it’s not okay to go after photographers, let alone women, and use foul, sexist language,” she said.

The photographer also claimed that Nick “twisted the truth and blamed her” in his tweet.

He added, “He needs to take responsibility for his actions. It’s one thing to be violent towards a woman and call her foul names, and another when you blame someone else and lie about what really happened.”

He also insisted that the singer “is not above the law and as a father and public figure [and] the least he can do is be a good human.”
