Orlando Bloom famously starred in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise as Will Turner … and he may have another pirate adventure in his story.
Although he did not appear in the fourth film in the installment, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”, he starred in four other films, including “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”, “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”, and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”.
Disney is currently working on the sixth film in the installment, where Johnny Depp won’t return as Captain Jack Sparrow due to his recent defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard — but will Orlando Bloom return? He’s certainly open to reprising his role as Will Turner!

Bloom recently spoke with Parade, where he was asked if he could return to his previous role, which one he would choose, of which the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor mentioned the iconic Will Turner.
“Oh my gosh, you know, I get to go back and play Legolas in ‘The Hobbit,’ which is 10 years later,” he began, before adding, “I was like, ‘This is so much fun!’ Because he’s a great space to be in, and I think Will [Turner from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’]—I mean Will is awesome. I don’t mind seeing what Will looks like today in some ways, because he’s this serious guy, but after rumbling at the bottom of the ocean for as long as he’s going to be at this point, it’s going to be interesting to see how he emerges and what he’s like. “
Although Disney has not confirmed whether Bloom will return as Will Turner for the sixth “Pirates of the Caribbean” film, fans are excited to learn that the 46-year-old is open to reprising the role.

Orlando Bloom was also asked if his household prefers one franchise over another. “Okay, my son [Flynn] old enough to watch some of that stuff now. I think ‘Lord of the Rings’ is something we watch. I watched some of it early on with him and I know he enjoyed it, but ‘Pirates’ is great entertainment and fun, and he has some cousins who love it,” Bloom said.
“I am very lucky to be a part of this. I thought Carnival Row was just like those movies. As performances, they feel epic, like an eight-hour film in terms of story and set size. I think the story will live on and as people discover it and like to improve it, I think it will live on. I love that aspect of what I do,” he continued.

There hasn’t been much update on the sixth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” but Disney has previously stated that Johnny Depp will not be returning and that Margot Robbie will star as the lead. Although, since the initial announcement, Robbie says he has never heard of Disney.
“We had an idea and we were developing it for a while, ages ago, to have more female-led — not entirely female-led, but just a different kind of story — that we thought would be really cool,” Robbie told Vanity Fair about the movie ‘Pirates’ he meant. “But I don’t think they want to do it.”
After Robbie’s comments, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” film producer Jerry Bruckheimer spoke out, insisting that the movie would still be filmed.
