Paul Barrett (“Bear”) Walker arrived on Sunday, April 30, in Arizona, weighing 7 lbs., four oz. Like its older siblings, married couples wait until the baby is born to find out the gender of the child. However, it only took twenty-four hours for the proud parents to find their child’s perfect name.
“This November will mark ten years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt like now was the right time,” Cody admitted, adding that his late brother’s name is an important part of the Walker family tree.
“My brother, Caleb, and I are both done having children. My brother, Paul, is Paul William Walker IV. The name goes back four generations,” the TV personality continued, noting that it was important to ensure that his brother’s name was passed on to the next generation.
“In the family, he went by ‘little Paul’ or ‘Paul 4,’ although he quickly surpassed our father’s height. It’s important for me to continue the name,” the California native concluded.
Besides Cody, the “Fast & Furious” family keeps the late actor’s memory alive in the ongoing franchise. For the latest installment of the series, “Fast X,” beloved character Paul, along with the family of the deceased, are involved in the film.
Earlier this year, the director of the tenth sequel, Louis Leterrier opened up about the sentiment of keeping Brian O’Conner’s character in the franchise. “Well, Brian is very much alive in the world of Fast and Furious, and they’ve teased him a lot in the previous films,” the 49-year-old said.

Citing the last prequel, Leterrier continued, “At 9, we see the car coming. It’s something planned. The film jumps between the past and the present.”
Thanks to the back and forth between the past and the present, Cody can continue to stand up for his late brother. The decision to let the “Abandoned Mine” star support O’Conner’s vision in the franchise was reportedly a unanimous decision.
“You’ll see Brian in the past; you won’t see Brian nowadays. It’s something that everyone has to be on board with,” Leterrier explained. “The Walker family is still a part of this franchise; you will see how in this movie. It just takes the right timing, the right tone.”

A few weeks earlier, Meadow Walker, daughter of the late “Into the Blue” star, revealed she was following in her father’s footsteps. The model came out of her industry to pay tribute to the actor with a cameo in “Fast X.”
Taking to her Instagram page, the 24-year-old shared behind-the-scenes photos from her role in the tenth installment of the box office franchise. In the image, the media personality appears to have taken on the role of a flight attendant, given her all-blue outfit, unlike the passengers sitting on the plane.
