Hailey Bieber can’t seem to get a break from the haters as the model continues to receive backlash for trying to live in Selena Gomez’s shadow. The blonde beauty has been shrouded in controversy over her relationship with the multi-hyphenated star.
After the two recently called a truce following a recent beef that fans took personally, it looks like animal rights organization PETA is starting a new troll fest. However, the public reaction was not pleasant.

When things between Hailey’s team and Selena’s team fans finally calmed down, skincare founder Rhode used the opportunity to launch her cooking show, “What’s In My Kitchen,” on YouTube. On April 13, the 26-year-old updated the account with a video of his signature chicken wing recipe.
The more than 10-minute clip shows the socialite showing off her chef skills, looking radiant in a casual outfit that accentuates her toned figure. Although the runway alum succeeded in creating the delicious dish as promised, PETA was not satisfied with its recipe involving the use of chicken.
On its Instagram page, the animal rights organization shared a photo of the Vogue model biting into her chicken wing alongside an image of a chick. Printed on this snap is the statement: “Hey, Hailey! Discover your meat! Chicks like her need their wings. YOU DO NOT.”
The non-profit foundation reiterated its stance against eating animals by calling out the media personality in the post’s caption: “Cut chicken is not good, @haileybieber.”

While the majority generally support PETA’s goals, people were shocked by the organization’s attack on the “Livin It: Usual Suspects” star. Angry fans flooded the comments with criticism, slamming opponents of speciesism for accepting bullying.
“Isn’t this bullying?” one concerned individual wrote, while another said: “EVEN THE MAP IS TEAM SELENA LMAOOO.” More people are stating that Bieber may not be liked, but he shouldn’t be bullied.
“Yeah, we don’t like it, but this is bullying,” said one fan. “Almost everyone eats meat. Why are you attacking him for something that everyone does every day.” A fellow anti-bullying advocate called out PETA for sending the wrong message.
“Why did you do this to him? As if no other celebrity eats meat?” the individual wondered. “I have always been a supporter of PETA, but I will not support bullies. Any message can be delivered in the same way without having to embarrass anyone.”
Despite actively raising awareness of animal cruelty, it seems that PETA has forgotten that humans are members of the animal kingdom, or perhaps their love for Gomez has blinded them. “Millions of people eat meat! Will you post everyone! It’s bullshit!” another fan chimed in. “Be pro animals but don’t bully people!”
Others advised the organization to do better, describing their actions as “juvenile behavior” and “really stupid.” Some linked PETA’s message to the drama between the model and the “Wolves” singer. One bluntly asked: “Did Selena Gomez post this?”
One angry individual claimed the organization was selling out, more concerned with money than animals. “Wtf is this? I’m vegan, and this is twisted,” the person wrote. “You target it when most of the population eats meat.”
“He’s been bullied 24/7 by Selena’s fans. He should sue you @peta. You’re not about the animals, you’re about the paycheck! This is complicated,” the fan concluded.

Before the runway star donned the apron, she previously waved for her YouTube interview series, “Who’s In My Bathroom?” Following the show’s success, Bieber launched his cooking program as a spinoff of the production.
Regarding the new show, the 26-year-old admitted her passion for cooking in a press release. “I’ve loved cooking and sharing food with friends on my social channels for years,” the entertainer raved, noting that she was excited to share her favorite recipes with fans.
Before “What’s In My Kitchen” launched on April 12, Bieber previously tried to start a cooking series in 2022. According to The Blast, the “Drop the Mic” co-host announced the YouTube program on his social media account in December.
The socialite tried to get fans interested in the show by dropping her protein pancake recipe. However, the model’s followers are more interested in why the Arizona native is copying Max Gomez’s HBO cooking series, “Selena + Chef.”
