Kate said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the lovely messages of support and for your understanding while I’ve been recovering from surgery.”

“It’s been a very difficult few months for our whole family, but I have a great medical team who have taken such good care of me, for which I am very grateful,” he continued.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at that time, it was considered that my condition was not cancerous,” he said, adding that “the surgery was successful. However, tests after the surgery revealed that cancer was present.”

He continued, “My medical team, therefore, advised me to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

She also mentioned that the news “came as a huge surprise” and that she and her husband have “done everything we can to process and manage this personally for the sake of our young family.”
