Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Warned About Crime Spree In their Montecito Community

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are facing major security fears after their trip to Jamaica. The couple has reportedly issued a warning about an increase in burglaries in the area where their Montecito home is located.

Harry and Meghan were overseas for the premiere of the Bob Marley biopic when the alleged crime happened in their community.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan’s lush Montecito community was recently plagued by several burglaries while they were out in Jamaica for the premiere of the biopic “Bob Marley: One Love”.

Law enforcement officials have now alerted the royal couple to rising crime in the area and told them they may be the next victims of an organized gang breaking into homes in the Montecito area.

The latest burglary occurred at a property about a five-minute drive from Harry and Meghan’s $15 million mansion, according to Daily Mail. Burglars specifically target safes in the homes they raid.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Officer Rachel Zick sent a warning to the neighborhood, which is also home to Hollywood stars such as Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. The Montecito Association, a local organization, also provides advice on home safety.

In the alert sent out by Officer Zick, he shared a specific timeline of burglaries and the types of homes that tend to be targeted by criminals.

The message read, “In the past week, deputies have taken several reports of thefts with striking similarities in the layout of residents, time of occurrence and items taken.”

Zick continued, “In these burglaries, criminals are targeting unoccupied homes that back up to open spaces such as golf courses as well as creeks, rivers or oceans. Investigators found that most of these crimes tend to occur between the hours of 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm”

“The most recent thefts occurred on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the 1500 block of Las Tunas in Montecito, and two in the 800 block of Sand Point Lane, Carpinteria. The suspect in this case is targeting the safe,” the officer concluded the message.

This, unfortunately, is not Harry and Meghan’s first safety scare at their California estate. In July 2022, it was reported that the duke and duchess received six burglar alarms at their home in the first 14 months of their move to America after stepping back from their role as royals.

Prince Harry looked dapper in his navy suit and white button down shirt underneath. For her part, Meghan looked stunning and elegant in her all-black outfit. The former actress sported a black spaghetti strap top tucked neatly into her voluminous black Carolina Herrera taffeta skirt.

She wears her hair in a simple bun and has minimal make-up, emphasizing her natural beauty. Meghan then accessorized the look with just a pair of gold disc earrings.

During the event, the royal couple posed for pictures with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness. They also took pictures with Paramount Pictures boss Brian Robbins and his wife, Tracy James. The film studio is reportedly sponsoring Harry and Meghan’s trip to Jamaica on a private jet.

Following their visit to Jamaica for the premiere of the Bob Marley biopic, Harry and Meghan were slammed for “piggybacking” on the royal family by cozying up to Prime Minister Holness, who has been branded anti-monarchy.

Royal commentators Andrew Pierce and Sarah Vine took to their YouTube show to talk about the couple “hobnobing” around Holness in the week when the King underwent a medical procedure to treat an “enlarged prostate.”

Pierce said, “The same week the King was going into hospital… he was there making out, making out with one of the most outspoken Republican prime ministers in the Caribbean. Someone who also wants to break up the Commonwealth, which is so precious to the Queen. They are tone deaf.”

Vine later claimed, “They are deliberately teasing the Royal Family. Both the Princess of Wales and King Charles are in hospital, and they haven’t said anything.”

He continued, “Normally, they want everyone to know how much they care about people, and they don’t say anything. I think their game plan is going to be self-loathing Royals. They’re going to say, ‘We’re part of the Royal Family. , but we hate it.’”
