Although Prince William and Prince Harry haven’t had the best relationship in recent years, it seems that their relationship is strained after a recent Netflix documentary. The siblings reportedly started dating each other shortly after Harry married his wife, Meghan Markle.
Following heightened criticism from the media, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their roles as senior royals in early 2020. The decision, according to Harry, brought some backlash from the family, including William who allegedly shouted at him. A subsequent interview with Markle on Oprah Winfrey’s show deepened the rift between them.
In the last three episodes of “Harry & Meghan,” the Duke threw a lot of accusations at William. As well as claiming that the future king yelled at him, Harry said William had broken an agreement on trading negative press stories about each other. The Duke and Duchess were nowhere to be seen at Princess Kate’s “Together at Christmas” carol concert on Sunday. Members of the royal family in attendance included King Charles, Her Majesty the Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales. Harry and Markle were reportedly at their California home at the time of the event.
The couple recently released the second volume of their Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” in which they dropped more bombshells than previous episodes. Among other things, Harry talks about his relationship with his brother and some of their more unpleasant interactions over the years.
In one of the later episodes, the father-of-two claimed that he was terrified after the Prince of Wales “screamed” at him during a meeting with his father and grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth. The meeting comes days after he and Markle decided to step back from their senior royal roles.

Following Harry’s revelations and comments about William in the documentary, sources revealed to Page Six that the sibling relationship is as good as finished. “I think that’s it,” the source said. “They’re done …” Neither William nor Buckingham Palace have released a statement on the documentary.
Earlier, Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that William felt “horribly betrayed” by Harry and the accusations “really upset him”. He also claimed that the Prince of Wales “will take this personally.”
Commenting on a smiling photo of the royal family from their Thursday carol event, the source noted Harry and Markle’s absence. They said, “The family photos all say it all, while Harry and Meghan are estranged, sad and bitter in Montecito.”
Earlier in the series, Harry mentioned losing some of his friends after moving to the US and how much he missed “the odd family reunion.” The royal, however, stated that if her mother, the late Princess Diana, were alive, her love for the US might “potentially” make her stay in the country.

Source, per Page Six, showed the couple’s relationship with Tyler Perry and how he was named godfather to Lilibet, their second daughter, despite their brief relationship. Perry housed the couple at his $15 million L.A. mansion shortly after they stepped down from their senior royal roles. The insider asked, “Do they have real friends, or is it just Oprah Winfrey? They seem a little isolated.”
They went on to talk about Markle and how she may not have a proper understanding of the rift in the royal family due to her only child status. The source continued, “Meghan [who has half-siblings] sees himself as an only child; I don’t think he understands the sibling dynamic.”
Another source that, according to Page Six, has a relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, revealed that Markle had tried to talk to William after they moved to California; however, his efforts fell on deaf ears. They said: “I was told that William said he wanted to speak to Harry himself and did not want to go through Meghan.”

In preparation for the documentary, Harry and Markle filmed their lives professionally and on their mobile phones. After the Queen’s departure in September, the couple reportedly tried to redact part of the documentary for fear of the kind of damage to their image.
Netflix insiders claim that the reaction will remain more or less the same regardless of the intimacy of Queen Elizabeth’s departure. “They are worried about the show premiering – with many of their complaints – so close to the Queen’s departure, but the reaction will be the same no matter when it airs,” they said.
Another source from the streaming giant said, “Harry and Meghan made a promise to Netflix, saying ‘We won’t step on your toes,’ but then they wanted to push it back to next year and cut it. Netflix said no.”
