Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is the most prestigious Hindu holiday of the year, celebrated by Indians around the world, usually lasting five days.
As the festival runs from Monday, October 24, the Chopra-Jonas relatives are among those commemorating the festival but this time, with their daughter Malti, marks her first Diwali.

Taking to Instagram to let fans join in the celebration, Priyanka Chopra Jonas uploaded nine beautiful photos featuring herself, her husband, Nick Jonas, their only child, Malti, and her mother.
In the caption, she wrote, “Love, peace, and prosperity to all. From a heart truly overflowing with gratitude. I wish you all a Happy Diwali. Sorry, I’m a little late but decided to stay in the moment a little longer.” “
The Indian actor added a Hindu phrase before ending with: “From us to you. Love and light,” accompanied by Lampu Diya, grateful hands, and a red heart emoji.
Looking charming as ever, the lovely family of four wore elegant matching nude-toned outfits, including baby Malti whose face is usually obscured in most of the photos. Priyanka was dressed in an embroidered ensemble consisting of a cropped top, a matching thigh-high jacket and intricately designed wide trousers.
On the other hand, Malti wore a long, loose dress, while Nick opted for white pants and a loose, bare calf-length robe. Some of the slides show the family inside a quiet white temple lit by large candles, while in two other images, fans can see a beautiful outdoor scene near a pool.
Ahead of the elaborate Diwali-themed post, the Indian producer couple shared two photos on Instagram of their family marking the festival. The first picture shows her carrying Malti with her face covered with a red heart emoji. His wife was also included in the photo as she beamed, posing next to him.
In the next slide, the three are sitting on the floor, close to each other, with Priyanka carrying their daughter while Nick holds the little one’s hand. Malti’s face is also obscured with a red heart emoji.
Wishing Hindu fans a rousing welcome, the “Camp Rock” alum stated in the caption, “Wonderful Diwali celebration with me. [red heat emoji]. Happy Diwali, everyone. Bringing joy and light to you all. #diwali.”
The couple’s post garnered millions of likes in no time, with thousands sending love and positive wishes to the celebrating family. Not long ago, Malti had another first time experience but not as a vacation but a trip to the “big apple,” as told on Instagram, which The Blast reported.
Although Priyanka rarely flaunts her adorable baby girl in public or on social media, she makes sure to share the new experience in heartwarming pictures. In the first performance, the mother-daughter pair looked out through the window of their upstairs room with the 40-year-old beaming as she stared at Malti.
The second image gives fans a closer look at her joy as she clings to her baby girl. As expected, the two pictures did not show the child’s face, prompting repeated criticism from followers on social media.
A few months ago, a hater insulted Priyanka about the act, saying, “Your baby face cover is obsolete now. Take it easy, mother of the year. No one cares what your baby’s face looks like. It’s a baby.”

One of the examples reported by The Blast was a photo dump in June on the gram, which the actress captioned with several hashtags and emojis indicating the couple was on a romantic island vacation.
In one snap, the National Film Award winner locked lips with her beau as they stood on the beach while another showed her in a yellow two-piece, heading into the waves.
Another image shows Priyanka wearing casual clothes while taking a nap, while Nick can be seen wearing a black top and hugging his partner in another photo. The “Quantico” actress didn’t stop there but uploaded a video showing her in a dark green swimsuit flaunting her toned figure as she floated on the sparkling blue waters.
