Ryan Gosling is indeed “Kenough” as his “Barbie” song, “I’m Just Ken” has now made him an official Billboard Hot 100-charting artist. Now if that’s not a perfect example of his Kenergy, we don’t know what is.
Ryan Gosling Is The Creator Of The Hottest 100 Chart

As Billboard reports, Ryan Gosling is now officially a Hot 100 chart-topping artist, scoring his first appearance on the latest chart (dated Aug. 5) as “I’m Just Ken,” which debuted at No. 87.
Gosling’s near-dulcet tune was released on July 21 alongside the new album and movie “Barbie.” It recorded 5.2 million US streams and 2,000 downloads in its opening week. It also debuted at No. 4 in Hot Rock Songs and No. 5 in Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, as well as No. 39 in Digital Song Sales. The album “Barbie” itself opened at No.2 on the Billboard 200, earning No. 1 on the Soundtrack chart and No. 2 on Top Album Sales.
Then again, the “Barbie” soundtrack is a whole musical village, and “I’m Just Ken” isn’t the only Gosling soundtrack on it. Produced by Mark Ronson, the album features the likes of Billie Eilish (“What Was I Made For?”), Dua Lipa (“Dance The Night”), Lizzo (“Pink”), and Nicki Minaj (“Barbie World” with Ice Spice and Aqua). There are also other songs from the likes of Ava Max, Kid Laroi, Gayle and more.
So, of course, there’s more Ken in the movie, but when it comes to singing, this is the only Ken fan wants to…
This Is Not Ken’s First Rodeo!

“I’m Just Ken” may have been Gosling’s first entry on the Hot 100, but it wasn’t his first appearance on the chart. It wasn’t the first time singing either… The actor was part of the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club (from 1993 to 1995), making his debut at the age of 13. As she performed songs and dances alongside future music stars such as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake, among others, vocals were a strong point.
Then again, so are his abs!
Ryan Gosling has also been on the charts before, with “City of Stars” from his 2016 film La La Land. At the time, his solo version spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Jazz Digital Song Sales chart, while the version with co-star Emma Stone reached No. 8 on the Hot 100’s Bubbling Under ranking and No. 45 in Digital Song Sales.
Of course, given that Ryan Gosling has numerous box-office hits such as “The Big Short,” “Blue Valentine,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” and, of course, “The Notebook,” his talent is spot on.
No wonder “Kenning” fans are everywhere!
Ryan Gosling Also Sings Matchbox Twenty’s “Push” For “Barbie”
MEGA
In 1997, the song “Push,” which was Kendom’s theme song, became a Billboard Top 10 hit. The song is part of Matchbox Twenty’s 1996 debut album “Yourself or Someone Like You,” and is about a man who experiences emotional abuse from his partner.
“Barbie” director Greta Gerwig remembers feeling something when she heard the song, and how she felt the band was “her people.” So he had to use it, only, he got permission from Rob Thomas to let Gosling sing it, and sing it, he did!
Ken plays this song for Barbie, [WARNING: Spoiler’s Ahead] or when it goes well, the Kens play this song to the Barbies after taking over Barbieland and making it their Kendom.
That didn’t stop many from trashing the film. But one fan defended it saying, “Men who say this movie is stupid, and women who say “You only understand because it’s a women’s movie” are all meaningless. This movie is a human movie, it shows how if the patriarchy is reversed, it will hurt men the same way it hurts women, when men or women are demeaned, or put at a lower value than others, it’s not good. it’s a feminist movie, feminists don’t want barbie land, we want a world where we’re only seen as the same!”
The mic dropped!
In the meantime, here’s proof that this Ken can really sing!
