Ryan Reynolds Plans To Venture Into Beer Business Inspired By His Soccer Team

Ryan Reynolds is making money! After the multi-million dollar sale of his Aviation American Gin company, the Hollywood heartthrob is poised to dominate the beer industry.

The sensational actor needs little introduction, given his status as a beloved entertainer thanks to his comedic gifts. While his acting skills are undisputed, many may not be aware of the 46-year-old’s talent as a businessman.

Outside the film industry, the TV personality has built his wealth through several successful investments. This includes the Vancouver native’s co-ownership of Welsh football club Wrexham AFC. Following the team’s success, the Saturn Award winners plan to create a lager inspired by their name.

The “Deadpool” star became a member of the football community after buying the Welsh club with fellow actor Rob McElhenney. The pair’s investment in the team recently paid off as the group won promotion back to the English Football League after a 15-year absence.

As the team’s achievements continue to rise, the father-of-four reportedly plans to continue their success by launching a football-inspired beer line. Per the Mirror, the “Free Guy” actor already has an alcohol brand with a Wrexham-oriented name trademarked in the UK and US.

Licensed monikers include “It’s Always Sunny in Wrexham,” coined from his friend McElhenney’s beloved TV series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” The second name is “R&R Lager,” representing the initials of the dynamic duo.

The third, “Max Effort Lager,” refers to the production company Reynolds Maximum Effort. As noted, the entertainer’s move into the beer industry comes after selling his Aviation American Gin company for a whopping $610 million.

2023 appears to be the era of the 46-year-old’s business as the beer venture isn’t Reynolds’ only money-making plan. In June, Formula 1 announced that the famous actor was entering the racing car domain with an investment in one of their teams.

On the racing empire’s official Twitter account, the sports group revealed the Vancouver sensation is partnering with another party for a stake in the Alpine Race F1 team. The tweet read: “BREAKING: Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds is part of a group of investors taking a 24% equity stake in Alpine.”

The featured investor group consists of the “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” star through his Maximum Venture Investment company — backed by actors Michael B. Jordan and Rob McElhenney. Reynolds’ venture partnered with private equity firms RedBird Capital Partners and Otro Capital.

Also, Renault Group, owner of Alpine, confirmed the news in a statement. Chief Executive Officer, Luca de Meo, expressed the company’s delight at the partnership, claiming it would usher in a new era for the racing group.

“Formula 1 and Alpine are strategic assets for the Renault Group. Over the past two years, we have revitalized Alpine, leveraging the iconic A110 sports coupe, enhancing it by entering Formula 1, where it aims to become a championship contender,” the statement said. “This partnership will accelerate the development of Alpine F1 by diversifying revenue drivers and increasing brand value.”

‘Buried’ Star Blake Lively’s Wife Gets Retribution Over His Liquor Business

Months before Reynolds moved into the beer industry, his wife, Blake Lively, came under fire for launching a liquor chain despite not being a drinker. The blonde beauty announced the business venture on her Instagram page, sharing a stunning photo shoot for the new product.

The “Green Lantern” actress entered the beverage industry with her brand of sparkling mixer, Betty Buzz, a non-alcoholic project. However, she upped her game with Betty Booze, a line of booze-themed drinks with three unique flavors.

Canned cocktails include “Sparkling Bourbon with Apple Ginger Sour Cherry,” “Sparkling Tequila with Oak Smoked Lemonade,” and “Sparkling Tequila with Lime Shiso.” In the promotional post, Lively admitted not being a drinker, but as a flavor lover, she had to launch Betty Booze.

“Drinking is not my thing. But for f* sake, the flavor is. Homemade recipe. Real fruit. Real ingredients. Quality liquor. no need. Also a real time saver. That’s why I really do it. @bettybooze,” the mother of four captioned the post.

As noted, fans were not impressed with her alcoholic efforts and accused the Los Angeles beauty of trying to rip people off. “How can you openly market/make a product that you yourself don’t use? Come now,” someone roared.

“Absolutely sick of celebrities squeezing alcohol when they know it’s toxic and dangerous and don’t drink it themselves. Grab money from Celebs,” quipped another.
