Shannon Beador has finally opened up about her ongoing drama with her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, and she has a lot to say about her promissory note fraud claim.
He wonders why the man is suing him over the alleged loan and whether it has anything to do with Janssen’s budding new relationship with his perceived nemesis, Alexis Bellino.

Beador appeared on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” on Monday, where he delved into the alleged loan drama and how Janssen made a public spectacle out of a simple situation. Recalling how he was treated by the lawsuit papers, the 60-year-old said:
“It was about a month ago. I got a letter saying, ‘You need to make a payment plan to repay this money.’ I offered to pay John the exact amount he wanted, but he refused the deal.”
The reality TV star claimed that Janssen refused to accept the payment “because he didn’t want to sign a deal without mutual disparagement.” The agreement is standard procedure in most settlements because it prevents both parties from speaking ill of each other.

Because he refused to cooperate, Beador felt like his “hands were tied” in the matter, and he couldn’t help but fear that the attorney’s fees would “exceed the amount of money he was looking for.”

Reality Stars Refuse to Back Down Without a Fight
Despite concerns about how much of a legal battle he’ll face, Beador insists he can’t back down without a fight. He doubled down on his need for an agreement without understatement, saying:
“What am I supposed to do? Say, ‘Here’s all the money you claim I owe you, and move on. Say whatever you want about me.’ No.”
He added, “My lawyer said I can’t let you do that, so now I have to go to trial and, you know, that’s a lot.” In his lawsuit, Janssen claims he loaned Beador $75,000 for the facelift; however, he denied these claims.
The reality TV star revealed that her ex-boyfriend loaned her money twice during their relationship, but there was never an official agreement. Also, he claims he never asked for $75,000 for a facelift.

Shannon Beador Claims She Paid Janssen’s Bill
Although Janssen wanted her ex to collect the money she collected from him during their relationship, Beador, on the other hand, did not drag her to court over her money. According to Bravolebrity, she spent a huge amount on her ex-boyfriend.
Early in their relationship, she claims there were several times she paid for things like Janssen’s hotel bill and airfare. He stated that this situation “was like me giving him money,” but he never paid it.
“Sometimes she’ll say, ‘Oh, can your stylist pull some stuff for me, and then I’ll pay you back?’ and then, yeah, he wouldn’t,” Beador recalled. He stated that he made her feel comfortable paying his bills with his sweet declarations of happily ever after, saying:

“At the beginning of the relationship, he said, ‘You are my future. You are my person. You are my future.’ That’s what he said, and I thought, ‘Yeah.’ I felt this comfort with him immediately, and I thought we were going to be together forever.”
John Janssen Allegedly Gave Her Over $30,000

Although Beador denied asking for $75,000 for the facelift, he admitted that he received more than $30,000 for the procedure. However, Janssen allegedly offered to give her the money when she was stressed about her finances.
The 60-year-old thanked him for his generosity at the time; however, he claims that no formal agreement was made. He also said that he found it suspicious that Janssen did not ask for the money when they parted ways in November 2022.
When the podcast’s host, Lewis, asked if she thought the lawsuit might be influenced by Janssen’s new relationship with her RHOC co-star, Alexis Bellino. Beador can’t help but highlight the coincidence.

“I’ve had two suits. Both have Bellino around them. Interesting, isn’t it? A bit,” he said. “I’m just saying, no. I’m just saying that, I mean, it’s a coincidence.” He added, “I don’t know if he had anything to do with it or not. I really don’t.”
In Promissory Fraud Claims
In the complaint, she claims she loaned the Bravo star $75,000 for a facelift. He remembers he raised that amount twice in 2022, first $40,000 on Jan 23 and $35,000 on May 20.
Janssen claimed that he agreed to repay the loan with interest; however, he failed to do so despite several requests in 2023 and 2024. Therefore, he was forced to file a lawsuit to recover the entire amount, plus accrued interest and reasonable attorney’s fees.
