Sharna Burgess, who is now an official American citizen, has a lot of exciting plans lined up for this year, and as always, she’s spilling the details to her fans.
The extraordinary dancer is preparing to do some traveling in the coming months, but she will need to get a new passport after acquiring her citizenship, which she is always grateful for.
Sharna Burgess Is Excited To Apply For A New Passport But Dread The Paperwork

As an official American citizen, Burgess is working on a new passport with her son Zane, who she shares with Brian Austin Green. In the midst of the process involved in obtaining the document, he shared a candid video of how his day went when he was inundated with paperwork.
In an Instagram Story post, the 37-year-old looked casual in a long-sleeve blouse with a tie and off-white pants while her long hair was swept over one shoulder. “I have a lot of travel coming up, and I need to apply for my new passport now,” he said before happily declaring that he was a citizen.
Burgess added that even though he should have had the procedure done months earlier, that day was scheduled for paperwork, meaning he had to get Zane’s passport done as well. It was a “very exciting” moment for him, even after pointing out how boring the day had been, stuck in the office doing paperwork and filling out forms.
Nevertheless, the choreographer was okay with the beautiful view from the office window saying, “Boring, but you know I don’t mind sitting here with this view. I’ll take it, which consists of clear blue skies and bright green expanses of land.
This came after his happy announcement of becoming an American citizen after more than a decade, which he never believed would be so emotional. As The Blast reported, last October, Burgess jumped on the gram with a clip of him being sworn in at the US Department of Homeland Security.
She styled a black tank top and jeans for the occasion while accessorizing with a stack of gold bracelets and necklaces. Also, accompanying her in the clip is her partner Green who takes a few pictures with her, feeling happy about the moment.
After setting the reels to a recording of Whitney Houston’s national anthem, the Australian ballroom dancer began the caption, “Today something so amazing happened ? “I didn’t know this was going to be emotional for me.” He continued, “This has been my home for almost 12 years now. My son was born here; my life, love, and career…it’s all here.”
Although it’s been a few years since she’s just taken the final step to becoming a citizen and “finally having the same rights as all Americans,” the ballroom dancer is feeling very sentimental that she’s finally found her home after having to move from one country to another since she left Australia .
The “DWTS” alum’s nomadic lifestyle has never allowed her to vote anywhere, and she feels like a “Gypsy looking for belonging.” Fortunately, his move to America worked wonders as it gradually became his permanent home after years of dreading settling in one place.
The dancer went on to share, “I found my tribe here, I bought a house here, I fell in love here, I gave birth to my child here. Now, this last step is the end period that I never knew I needed so much.”
In conclusion, she rejoiced at the milestone and declared, “I, Sharna Burgess, am a citizen of the United States, and I am here.”
‘DWTS’ Alum Has Mixed Feelings About Rapid Child Development
Amidst his excitement about his new identity as an American citizen, Burgess has mixed feelings about his only son Zane who is growing up faster than he imagined.
Much to the dismay of his doting mother who wanted him to be her baby forever if possible, that was not to be. The little one recently learned something new that her mom told her fans via Instagram Stories.
As seen in the attached picture, a screenshot of a private message between Burgess and an unnamed person, Zane feeds himself without help, causing mixed feelings towards his mother.
He sent a picture of the tot, and he was captured lying on a gray blanket, covered with a white blanket while watching “Elmo.” He held a feeding bottle to his own mouth, an impressive feat despite his advanced age. However, Burgess felt betrayed by the time and wrote in the update, “My heart swells and hurts all at once. Time is a thief.”
