The world-class gymnast and soccer star who met before the pandemic have confirmed plans to marry. The Biles recently celebrated their success in obtaining a license for their upcoming wedding. This happened after two years together.
The athletic couple bonded over their love of animals and shared sense of humor, as Owens revealed in an interview with Texas Monthly.
The 26-year-old famous Olympian shared a photo of herself and Owens all smiles in the car with their new documents. In the caption, she wrote, “Almost time to say ‘I do,'” with a white heart emoji, while Owens replied in the comment, “Soon.” The documents indicate that the couple will have their wedding in Texas, where they both live.
Simone Biles Is Excited To Get Married
The couple has yet to share their upcoming wedding date, but Biles is looking forward to getting married. After getting her license, the gymnast posted a video of herself and her man. The clip shows them enjoying cocktails to music with the lyrics “Girl, let’s get married. I just got married” played in the background.
Above the video, he wrote, per Many people, “matter of license after marriage.” The four-time Olympic gold-winning gymnast shared a photo from her bridal shower in anticipation. The blue-themed event was held with friends and family at The Juliana in Houston Heights. They all rocked blue dresses in the photo as she captioned it, “On Cloud 9 BRIDAL SHOWER☁️??️ feeling so loved & blessed.”
Biles hosted a Bachelorette party earlier this year, which she highlighted on her Instagram page. Meanwhile, the star rocked jeans with her future husband’s last name, “Mrs. Owens,” written on the back pocket. In the caption, she tagged the location and thanked them “for hosting the most epic bachelorette.”

Biles revealed her engagement to the NFL player shortly after he popped the question in February of last year. He has photos of memorable moments pinned on his Instagram profile. Owens asked for her hand in marriage with a sparkling oval Diamond ring.
He knelt down to place the ZoFrost jewelry in Biles’ hands after she said “YES EASILY” to the sweet proposal. Under a series of photos from the precious moment, she wrote, “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you are everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married, ENGAGED,” Owens tagged.
The football player replied, “Ready for forever with you.” Biles updated her Instagram bio to include Owens as her husband-to-be, among other things she’s proud of, like his Olympic achievements and his love of dogs.

In his interview with Texas Monthly, Owens notes how smooth their relationship is because of how well they complement each other. He said they were a “match made in heaven” and “perfect” for each other.
The 27-year-old said, “There is no one better for me. He loves me; he is very loving. I like it. And it was intoxicating to see how much work he put into everything.” Biles confirmed her feelings in a 2021 interview with Todaywhere he reveals that they are a great match.
“We had a great time together. Our personalities match perfectly. We have the same sense of humor. And he was great.” The female athlete also revealed their relationship was “seamless” due to their similar career paths. “He’s also an athlete, so we understand each other.”
