Experience is definitely the best teacher for Christine Brown as she opens up about her marriage to Kody Brown!
The reality TV star has since moved on from the ‘special’ wedding to the 54-year-old, but now, she has strong doubts about the arrangement. Christine is Kody’s third marriage and first sister wife who announced her separation from the “Sister Wives” patriarch in November 2021 and has since moved on with another lucky man.
Christine Brown Can’t Hold Back Her Thoughts On Polygamy
The mother of six takes a closer look at how polygamy works while she’s in the union in a new episode of their hit show Sister Wife. In a conversation with a friend of the sister’s ex-wife, Janelle Brown, Christine admitted that polygamy is not a good idea and that it can be a difficult area to navigate. In his confession, he said:
“I think if people want to live [plural marriage], all right. But I just, to be honest with you, I don’t see it as a great family structure and I really have a hard time with it, but I think when a man finds the love of his life, other women will— .”
She admitted to being frustrated and “tired” of her experience with polygamy and said, “I did my best while not having a good day, believe me, but it still failed.”
He hopes Kody tells them all about his relationship with Robyn who now lives with him and is the only wife left. According to Christine, the breaking point came when Kody began to distance himself from his children and stopped being a great father.

In another part of the episode, Christine celebrates the anniversary of her former 1994 marriage to Kody with Janelle and the rest of her friends in Arizona. The 51-year-old described it as the perfect way to celebrate what had been a meaningful day and admitted it was a brilliant idea to do it in the company of like-minded people who had also been through a divorce.
“Celebrating the day of our divorce is not enough, I also have to celebrate our old anniversary, our former anniversary,” said Christine. As the night progresses, Kody surprisingly makes a call to Christine, which he describes as very strange.
“It’s, like, Kody of all people, but I’m not answering it right now,” she said, she couldn’t figure out why Kody called her. However, Kody explained his own side of the story and his reason for calling. The 54-year-old stated that he heard Christine was in town, and he called her to check in with their daughter Truly.
According to Christine, on their anniversary last year, Kody allegedly wanted to post pictures of the split couple, but he wasn’t part of the plan. But leaving a marriage is not a beautiful thing, as she reveals:
“It’s hard to show your kids when you’re done. It’s hard to show the world that you’re done. It’s hard to leave a marriage, but it sure feels good on the other side. I’m a big fan of divorce, I’m just saying. If people are thinking about it, I say go for it. … Do it. You are already miserable. Stop pretending [not] be miserable and pretend to be happy.”
However, Kody wants Christine to stop painting him in a bad light to his children as he also claims that Christine forced him into his life and she doesn’t care about his departure.
New Beginnings For Mothers Of Six
Speaking of moving, Christine officially tied the knot with her beau David Woolley last weekend and it was glorious. News of their romance broke in February following Christine’s split from Kody in 2021 after more than 10 years together.
Christine then announced the engagement a few months later in April with a loved-up photo of the couple on her Instagram. According to The Blast, the wedding took place in front of 330 guests in an outdoor ceremony at Moab’s Red Cliffs Lodge in Utah.
However, only one of her friend’s “Sister Wives” attended the party, Janelle who broke up with Kody a year after Christine called it quits. The wedding planned by Danielle Rothweiler featured a boat cruise down the Colorado River and the couple described it as their dream wedding.
Woolley described the experience as “unreal,” including the sights and scenery while Christine said, “It was a fairytale. It was everything I never thought I would have. I could walk down the aisle to David, he just looked at me like he did , it was a dream come true.”
