‘Star Wars’ Alum Adam Driver Reveals His Son ‘Hates’ Movies!

Actor Adam Driver has appeared in many different films over the years.

After starring in “Girls,” he became an international sensation as the evil Kylo Ren and the redeemed Ben Solo in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy.

He recently appeared as Commander Mills in the dinosaur-fighting action thriller “65.” Although Driver admitted that he appeared in the movie because he knew his son liked dinosaurs, that didn’t stop his son from telling him, “I hate movies.”

In a recent appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Thursday, Adam Driver revealed that his son is not a movie fan. Her son, whose name has yet to be released publicly, won’t see her new movie, “65,” even though he loves dinosaurs.

“I told him, like, ‘Oh, we’ll make a movie sometime.’ He was like, ‘Oh, that’s great. I hate movies,'” recalled Driver. “He hated them! I ended up showing him ‘Mary Poppins’ as the first movie, and he was like, ‘Eh, never mind.'”

“We were like, ‘Do you want to watch anything else?'” he continued. “He was like, ‘No, I’m not interested.’” That’s why Driver thought it would be great to combine his love of acting and his son’s love of dinosaurs. Unfortunately, his son is also not interested in “65”.

“It was like dinosaurs and laser guns, and he liked dinosaurs, so I was like, ‘I’m in,'” she said. “Then we left, and he knew everything. The man introduced [the dinosaurs] like, ‘Oh, this might be a little scary. Do not be scared.’ He was like, ‘No. Gallimimus. Eoraptor.’ He named everything. He really liked it.”

Although his son seems to like seeing how everything works behind the scenes, he still won’t go see “65” in the cinema with his father. “He didn’t want to watch the movie because it was too scary,” Driver said. “So basically I made this thing for him to watch that he wasn’t interested in watching.”

Although his first child with his wife Joanne Tucker is not interested in movies, there may still be hope for the “Marriage Story” actor. As The Blast previously reported, she and her college sweetheart are expecting another child together.

Last month, “The Last Duel” actor was photographed on the streets of New York City with his wife, Joanne Tucker. The actress looked pregnant, wearing her puffy brown jacket unbuttoned. He kept warm in a gray sweater, black trousers and a blue beanie.

The “White Noise” actor also looked like he was trying to keep warm in a long-sleeved shirt, dark slacks and a black beanie as the pair packed their car together. Their first child was not photographed with them.

The fan favorite couple first met in school at Juilliard. Adam Driver was a member of the Drama Department Group 38 from 2005 to 2009. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and the couple tied the knot four years later in a private ceremony in June 2013.

The low-key couple welcomed a son two years ago, which was accidentally leaked to the public when his sister made her Instagram account public. She shared a photo of Tucker pregnant and having a baby shower together, referring to herself and Tucker as “new moms.”

Although the “Logan Lucky” actor initially downplayed the existence of a son, the “House of Gucci” star was photographed playing with his son at a playground in Rome while he was filming the Ridley Scott-directed film in March 2021. His wife stood nearby watching the two play while holding their dog on a leash.

In 2017, the actress joked about the possibility of a son with W Magazine, admitting that she didn’t know she could “love anything more” than her dog, saying, “It’s like I have a child – maybe – and be like [gestures dismissively] … but dogs!”
