Holker is transparent about the challenges of grief and a deep sense of loss, as she recently opened up about coping with the loss of her late husband. In an interview with People magazinehe reminisced about some of the loving moments he and the “So You Think You Can Dance” alum shared as he revealed how he always thought he could be everyone’s “Superman.”

During the conversation, Holker recalled that one of their favorite things to do was cook dinner together in the kitchen, noting how he would “hold my back every time I walked past him.”

The TV host also recalled that during meals, their family of five would participate in what they like to call “random conversations” filled with lots of laughter. Holker reflected on the authenticity of their love, describing it as “very real and very loud.”

“We always tell people that our house is like a choreographed dance,” she adds.

In August, the TV host aired a clip of her and actress-choreographer Brittany Perry-Russell dancing to Missy Elliott’s “Bomb Introduction / Pass That Dutch.” He thanked Perry-Russell for creating a “fun” environment and making him “feel safe” during the experience.

“It really feels so good to be dancing again,” Holker wrote on Instagram. “I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. I was scared and excited. But dance has always been there for me… even now and I’m so grateful for that.”
