“Technology gone wrong” is the working theory law enforcement is working on regarding Alan Ruck’s recent car crash.
The Hollywood veteran baffled authorities last week after he lost control of his high-tech truck and crashed the vehicle into the side of a pizza parlor. How and why the “Succession” star Rivian R1T ended up kissing the brick remains a mystery; however, the police suspected the car was too heavy for the entertainer.
Alan Ruck’s Car Accident Was Not Influenced By Alcohol Or Impairment
The Ohio citizen’s vehicle accident happened on the night of October 31 around 9 pm at Raffalo’s Pizza, a restaurant located at La Brea Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. Fortunately, the horrific accident caused no casualties except for the unsuspecting pizzeria wall.
Despite causing significant property damage with his truck, the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star has no clue what sparked the unfortunate experience. While recounting the accident to first responders, the TV personality allegedly insisted that he did not know what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
At the time, authorities had no reason to doubt the 67-year-old’s side of the story because law enforcement at the scene found no evidence of Ruck’s involvement. The performer was reportedly not under the influence, distracted, or otherwise impaired at the time of the accident.

Given the lack of common accident factors, the LAPD wrote off the incident as “just an accident.” A source for the police department confirmed the news to TMZstated that they believe the accident was caused by Ruck’s highly-technological Rivian R1T truck.
The electric truck, which was brand new when the father-of-four crashed it into a pizza building, features a number of impressive systems, including Dual Motor, Performance Dual-Motor and Quad-Motor. These features can make the vehicle go from 0-60 MPH faster than the cast of “Bad Boys” can blink.
It remains unclear whether or how this high-tech property played a role in the crash; However, the working theory is that Ruck’s Rivian R1T truck was too much for the 67-year-old to handle. Accordingly, the LAPD is closing the case and leaving the rest to the insurance team.

Alan Ruck Looks Hobbled In First Appearance After Car Crash
Days earlier, the “Going Places” star addressed the incident in her first public appearance since the crash. The Ohio native was spotted by the paparazzi as he limped to his blue SUV wearing casual clothes and a gray bra around his left knee.
The TV personality assured the photographer that he was physically fine despite the terrible accident, saying, “I’m fine, and thank God no one was killed.” However, when the camera operator said it was amazing to see Ruck’s ability to walk after the horrific accident, the entertainer explained the misunderstanding behind his knee brace. In his words:
“This is not from the accident. This is because I am getting older.”

In addition, the SAG Award winner addressed fans’ comments about her recent car accident as her second headline-grabbing accident. The father of four made waves in the ’90s for crashing a Ferrari “kit car” while filming the 1986 hit movie, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”
“I guess that’s what people say,” Ruck said to dismiss the viral narrative before waving goodbye to the paparazzi. “God bless everyone.” As noted, there were no casualties in the crash of the “Spin City” star except for the wall of the pizza shop.
In a viral video of the accident, the Hollywood veteran’s bumper got stuck into the brick building, causing severe property damage. Another clip captures a multi-car crash in the middle of an intersection on Hollywood Boulevard.
This footage shows what happened before his car crashed into the wall of the pizza place. The accident apparently started with the TV personality’s truck hitting another car from behind and pushing this vehicle into the intersection.
Fortunately, no pedestrians were hit in the accident, but reports claim two individuals were injured in the collision. They were reported not to be in serious condition as they were conscious and breathing following the shocking incident.
Ruck also survived the crash as he was seen standing away from his truck in one of the viral social media videos. The “Twister” actor may have called 911 as he was filmed talking to someone on his cell phone as people assessed the damaged wall.
