Sydney Sweeney Saved by Glen Powell After Spider Bites
MEGA
Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell appeared on “Today” earlier this week to promote their upcoming film, “Anything But You,” when the two recalled the time Sydney Sweeney was bitten by a spider.
“Well, the spider actually bit me in the middle of this scene, but no one called ‘cut’ because they thought I was just making a really dramatic and interesting choice in this scene, and Glen was the only one who ended up catching it ,” Sweeney explained of the incident. “They thought I was acting, but it actually bit me and Glen said, ‘Wait, this is a little more serious.'”
Powell described the spider as a “huge hunting spider” and he explained that he could tell something wasn’t right by the way it reacted during the scene. “Yes, there is a different tone in his voice when someone is really bitten by a spider,” he shared.

“There was the spider itself, which actually bit me, and that was the whole thing,” Sweeney added before explaining to the host that the scene ended up taking half a day to shoot. “And then we had the part of Glen crouching down and I checked to see if there were more spiders. I’m very familiar with Glen now.”
“Anything But You” hits theaters on December 22, 2023.
