Singer Taylor belongs to Swift fans, known as Swifties, have raised their eyebrows at recent comments by the mother of her love interest, Travis Kelce.
Kelce’s mother, Donna, appeared on the “Today” show on Friday and was asked how she felt when she met Swift for the first time late last month.
In her response to the questions, Donna seemed to play down the relationship by describing it as “pretty new” and saying “it’s fine” when pressed further about her interactions with the singer that day.

Many fans believe that Donna is not impressed with Swift, so she used the phrase “nothing” when she was asked about meeting the global star. They also seemed to conclude that he was not supportive of his relationship with his son.

Donna appeared on the show to promote her product, Kind Snacks. However, he was unexpectedly bombarded with questions by the show’s hosts, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, who were keen to know more about his encounter with the “Shake It Off” singer.
During the interview, the mother of two shared that she doesn’t like to talk about Kelce’s relationship with Swift because “it’s kind of new.”
He added, “It’s just one of those things where, you know, obviously everyone sees me. I was in the box with him. And, yeah, it’s just, you know, another thing that improves my life.
Upon further investigation for other details such as “what just [Swift] like” and what it was like to meet such a superstar, Donna simply replied, “It’s okay.”
And when the presenter asked if Kelce had previously warned him not to talk about his relationship with Swift, he replied, “It’s not a warning but it’s his personal life.”

“They’re a little over the top, especially with my situation,” Kelce said when his brother asked about his thoughts on how the NFL treats celebrities in games.
