Tekashi 6ix9ine dons bulletproof vest, helmet for hearing on domestic violence charges

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was released on condition from a Dominican Republic prison cell on Thursday after he was arrested last week on domestic violence charges.

The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, was ordered to pay a $510 deposit, undergo government counseling and meet with authorities every two months until they complete their investigation into allegations that he assaulted his girlfriend, a Dominican rapper known as “Yailín la Más Viral .”

The “Fefe” singer was seen in the video attacking the woman, who responded with punches of her own and tears.

Yailín, whose real name is Jeorjina Guillermo-Diaz, was also arrested for her role in the fight. He was released after Hernández posted $9,000 bail.

Hernández, 27, was brought to court in handcuffs and wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet. He was accompanied by a group of police.

His lawyer accused prosecutors of “fabricating” evidence against his client.

Guillermo-Diaz did not self-report domestic violence complaints, which prosecutor Ana Andrea Villa Camacho said was typical of victims.

“We know very well why the victim did not file a complaint, why the victim withdrew,” he said, asking that Hernández remain in custody.

Hernández told police after his arrest that Guillermo-Diaz had hit him and his car several times, showing them video footage as evidence.

Guillermo-Diaz reportedly admitted to crashing the car “to cause him financial difficulties” because he was upset that he had allegedly taken his money and passport from him.

He later took to Instagram to claim Hernández had a history of domestic violence, reposting a tweet claiming the “Trollz” rapper hit his girlfriend first and then would record her when she retaliated.

The judge, Fátima Veloz, eventually granted the rapper parole and also issued a protection order for both parties.

A representative for Hernández did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The domestic violence arrest is the latest in a string of criminal complaints against the rapper, and his second arrest in the Dominican Republic.

He was arrested in October for attacking two music producers at a beachside hotel in the Dominican Republic, where he and Guillermo-Diaz were recording a song – six months after he was attacked by several people at a gym in Florida.

Hernández was also previously accused in the US of using violent gangs as his “personal hit squad”, but avoided jail after giving evidence about the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, which operated on the East Coast.

In 2015, Hernández also pleaded guilty to one count of using a child in a sexual performance. The incident involved physical contact with a 13-year-old girl, and Hernández received four years of probation.

But just three years later, he was again arrested on charges of grazing and other weapons and drugs, for which he could face at least 47 years in prison.

Instead, prosecutors cut him a deal in which he pleaded guilty to nine charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, and he was sentenced to just two years in prison.

Hernández was later released from prison in April 2020 in the middle of the outbreak because he had asthma, and was placed under house arrest.

He completed his sentence in August 2020.
