During a recently released interview with Washington Post, Tiffany Haddish opens up about her attempts to give birth. The actress recalled her conversation with a nurse that she had recently suffered her eighth miscarriage. He said, “Well I’ll be honest with you, this will be my eighth [miscarriage].”

“I have a heart-shaped uterus. It won’t keep anything,” added the actress.

Haddish shared that she kept all of her miscarriages a secret because she didn’t want people to worry about her. He stated, “Like a wounded animal, I prefer to go into the cave alone. Lick my wounds.”

In 2021, the “Night School” actress revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she is interested in adopting a child. However, Haddish shared that she prefers older children, from five years old and up.

He said, per Page Six, “I want to get someone who … already knows how to use the toilet, already knows how to speak, already knows how to communicate. What I want to do is impart knowledge in… [and] prepare them for the big, bad world.”

Haddish herself has been in the foster care system since childhood, so she understands the reality of adoption. She went on to say, “I really want to be an adoptive parent, but since I’m at a certain point of success, my attorney suggested that it might be best to just adopt, and I’m in that process right now.”

While he WaPo interview, Haddish also discussed her breakup with rapper Common two years ago. The actress called out her ex-boyfriend for saying their split was a “mutual” decision.

She said, “It was more about him saying, ‘I think this relationship has worked out.’ And I was like, ‘OK. Like, you’re going to be a 50-year-old single guy. OKAY?'”

Haddish claimed that Common had started banning her from events before he ended their relationship, including her birthday party that year.

Despite their messy split, Haddish says her time with Common was “the safest of all relationships [she’s] ever was.” He says they have “the healthiest [and] the most fun romance and have learned a lot from their time.
