TikToker Yung Hashtag Cause of Death
The sudden death of TikToker Yung Hashtag shocked everyone. The TikToker’s death is likely a homicide incident. The Jefferson City Police Department launched a homicide investigation into his death.
The Jefferson City Police Department FB page issued a statement that read, “Investigators continue to interview witnesses to the gun offense on Saturday. Family members have been notified and we can now release the name of the deceased as Michael A. Burns, 27 of Jefferson City.”
It read further, “Investigators have been able to locate several witnesses to the incident and they are cooperating at this time. The suspect, a 38-year-old Jefferson City resident, gave officers a statement consistent with the witness’s version. A preliminary statement has been forwarded to the Cole County Prosecutor’s office for review. No other information will be released at this time.”
After his death, the mother of TikToker Yung Hashtag Kaya Staten spoke about his death. He shared that he doesn’t have or plans to “make a GoFundMe but if you feel you want to help him or my cousin, he has CashApp $Kaya417 and Paypal @Staten1211.”
Broadcasting live on Facebook, Kaya may share the suspect who allegedly took her son’s life.
On January 15, 2023, rumors of the TikTokker’s tragic death began circulating online. Kastro MN’Sota, a friend and fellow TikTok celebrity, shared a video yesterday confirming the terrible news.
In TikTok, Kastro said: “I just want to be the one to come out and say that [Yung Hashtag] tragically lost his life. I don’t know the details,” adding “If you watch our content, we’ll be back and we’re building relationships from this app as brothers.”
He added, “He’s one of the most humble people” and asked viewers to “go show his page some love. Show his people that he cares.”
The TikToker joined the platform in 2017, and amassed over 500K followers on the platform and 12 million likes. He also pursued a career as a musician. Some of his hit songs again I Hate Hashtags, Moveand Out of Hours and he released an album in 2020 titled #WhoPoppin. He just dropped the official music video for his song Double Cup on January 14, 2023.
Yung Hashtag also shared a promotional video of the song on Instagram on the same day the video was released. Since then, a rush of tributes and condolences have been left in the comments section by fans.
Fans have paid tribute to Yung. One Twitter user posted, “Damn Yung Hashtag passed ts[sic] crazy.” Another fan commented on TikTok, “Damn. ? had to come to your page and was sad to see the truth. relax homie,” while another wrote: “REST IN POWER.”
“RIP, send prayers to your family and friends,” added a third person.
