During his conversation with TMZ, Schwartz talked about how Sandoval is doing amid the backlash from the affair scandal. He said, “He’s okay, I think. He had a deep sense of sadness, it was true. I think he feels like a piece of sh*t and to some extent, maybe he is. He knows he’s being silly and it’s all very sad.”

When asked how much he knew about Sandoval’s months-long affair with Leviss, Schwartz was coy and didn’t reveal much. He said, “You will see him play on the show. It’s really complicated. That is the understatement of the year.” The 40-year-old also stated that she and Leviss have not spoken since the affair became public.

Schwartz isn’t the only “Vanderpump Rules” cast member to deal with the drama between Sandoval, Leviss and Madix. During a March 8 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Lisa Vanderpump said she was “shocked” when the allegations surfaced.

He said, “I mean, literally, no words. I didn’t see it coming. Nobody saw it coming.” Sandoval himself has also spoken out about the scandal and made a public apology to Madix on Instagram. He wrote, “I made mistakes, I was selfish, and I made reckless decisions that hurt people I love. No one deserves to feel that pain. traumatically and publicly.”

Leviss also publicly apologized to Madix in an Instagram statement, sharing that he deeply regrets hurting her. He wrote, “I want to apologize for my actions and my choices especially to Ariana, and to my friends and fans who invested in our relationship.”

Leviss said he knew he was “not a victim” and fully owned up to his actions with Sandoval. The reality star said she’s now “thinking about my options, talking to a counselor and I’m learning things about myself like my codependency pattern and my addiction to being and feeling loved.”

Leviss added that he is undergoing counseling to change his behavior and “learn to set stronger emotional boundaries.” He said, “I don’t expect sympathy, understanding, or forgiveness. At this time, I must focus on my own health and well-being and as I strive to become a better person moving forward, I will prioritize my mental health and learn from my mistakes.”
