Tori Spelling Opens Up About Self-Inflicted Eye Ulcer In Health Update

Tori Spelling has shared the story behind her new fashion accessory.

The “A Friend to Die For” actor recently explained that he started wearing the blindfold after experiencing a reaction when talking to his old friend, Jennie Garth. The update comes after she was spotted at an event in Los Angeles pairing her pink and black ensemble with sparkling pink accessories.

Tori’s Spelling Is Responsible For Her Eye Ulcers

Spelling showed just how good he is at sports when he detailed the event that left him with an ulcer over his left eye on his latest “9021OMG” podcast installment.

The actress kicked things off by repeatedly taunting Garth, who doubles as her co-host, to “see me in my good light” before she began her explanation. “It is very stupid; that’s my fault; I did this for myself,” he admitted before recounting:

“So I have contacts, but I have daily contacts and at the end of the day, kids, whatever.… I can make all the excuses I want; I didn’t take it out, I slept in it, and it wasn’t healthy.”

Tori Spelling was spotted in NYCMEGA

His co-host was prompted to guess the number of days he kept his contact, landing on seven days, which Spelling objected to. In the words of the Young Artist Award winner, “Seven weeks. I exaggerate. But I have been known to be gone maybe 20 days. I know you guys, it’s embarrassing [SIC].”

He added that his doctor informed him how lucky he was to walk away with a relatively minor injury from an eye ulcer. Despite the diagnosis, “Call for Cthulhu,” the actor declared that he would give the wearer another chance by switching to “30 days when this heals.”

The 49-year-old’s update shared on Instagram proved helpful to a handful of viewers, with one stating in the comments section, “As a newbie… I’m taking notes on what not to do.”

Spelling first revealed the eye condition through her Instagram Story late last month, where she posted that her doctor had prescribed antibiotic drops. He dropped a photo of himself lying down, writing in the accompanying text:

“Thank you for all the well wishes and concern. Everyone asked if I scratched my cornea. It was actually an ulcer on my eye. Antibiotic drops and the Dr said it would ‘hopefully’ heal in 7-10 days.”

Medical experts explain that the most common causes of corneal ulcers are bacterial, fungal, viral, or parasitic infections. Symptoms include blurred vision, itching, red eyes, sensitivity to light, and painful watery eyes.

Although corneal ulcers are treatable, with most people recovering well after treatment, reduced vision may occur.

Golden Raspberry Award Nominee’s Daughter Hospitalized for Severe Migraines

The Blast noted that Ejaan shed light on the health challenges his daughter, Stella Doreen, inherited from her father’s side. In a conversation with Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis, the California native revealed that the 14-year-old has struggled after being diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines, a stroke-like illness.

Therefore, the migraine caused the teenager to have partial numbness in his left arm, half of his throat and mouth. According to the “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” star, Stella is still feeling “dizzy and nauseous” and is dealing with it by seeing a neurologist at a children’s hospital. She added that Stella’s migraines are hereditary and from her husband, Dean McDermott’s family. He quipped:

“It’s a hereditary migraine… It doesn’t really run in my family; I find it runs in Dean’s family. There are more things to blame on him.”

The “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” star previously shared a photo of her daughter wearing a hospital gown, with several wires attached to her body from a machine. The health crisis came after her son, Beau Dean, visited the hospital following a battle with high fever and the flu.

The family’s health problems include the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum being hospitalized after she “felt too sick to work.” She updated her fans on the development with a photo of her throwing a peace sign while wearing a hospital gown.

Across her Instagram Story, she wrote, “Here I am at the hospital since late last night,” adding that she has “high blood pressure and crazy dizziness.”
