Tracee Ellis Ross didn’t say not to look for Mr. Right! The co-lead of the hit TV show “Black-ish” recently shared his thoughts on finding love as he approaches his 50th birthday.
Drawing on his life experiences, the actor and business owner shared his views on the matter and spoke extensively about his future plans. Interestingly, the young star did all this and more after donning a stunning outfit to receive yet another accolade in her impressive long list of awards.

In an interview with Extra TV, Ross revealed some interesting details about his plans for the next phase of his life when he turns 50. The Hollywood star revealed the contents of her bucket list during Disney’s 2022 D23 expo, the premier event for all things Disney-related.

Ross is set to celebrate his golden jubilee on October 29, but he’s aware that he looks forever young as he jokes to an interviewer, “I don’t look 50 days over.” When asked about the secret to her timeless looks, she replied, “water and lots of laughter.”
As for what 50 holds for her, the “High Note” actress talked about her hopes for marriage and finding love. In his words, “I want to get married, I like to write books, I like to make action movies, I want to keep making movies.”
Talking about her love life, the thespian who is the daughter of music icon Diana Ross did not reveal if she is already in a relationship with a special man. He does, however, express a tongue-in-cheek desire to marry a “legend”, basically anyone who “makes [her] life is better.”

The Golden Globe Award winner also brought up her hit show, “Black-ish,” for which she received the title of “Disney Legend,” while showing her love for her co-star, Anthony Anderson. He emphasized his fondness for the actor, whom he “married” on the set for 5 years, and his willingness to work with him on more projects in the future.
“I pretend I’ve been married to him longer than I’ve ever been in a relationship… Our partnership as a colleague is very special. It didn’t start the way it ended, and I think it’s special because I entered one way and left a different way,” she said. .
For the D23 expo, Ross proved that she is indeed a fashion icon, wearing a nude ankle-length dress with sparkling stones all over. She paired the dress with a pair of sky-high stilettos and styled her hair into a sleek ponytail.

The multi-award winner took to Instagram shortly after to show off the stunning ensemble she wore while declaring herself a “newly minted DISNEY Legend.” The NAACP Image Award winner also included a clip of herself speaking to the crowd about the importance of her work and the need to support black women’s careers.
This is not the first time Ross has spoken about marriage and love. In a 2021 interview with Marie Claire, the California native opened up about the pressure society places on women who are single and childless regardless of their career accomplishments.

When asked if she ever longed for a traditional life with a husband and children, Ross replied, “Well, how could you not? Our society feeds you. I used to put myself to sleep in my wedding dreams. And I still love it all , but what am I going to do, just sit and wait? Shut up. I have a lot to do.”

I come into my experience with a sense of wholeness which I really couldn’t imagine growing up because I had so much discomfort in my skin.”

Ross, who describes himself as happily single, admits that he doesn’t get comfortable in his own skin without facing some pressure from society, especially when it comes to marriage.
“Culturally, young girls are taught to dream of their marriage and not the life they want to live or the person they want to be,” she admits. “I didn’t escape that messaging as a child — not from my mom or dad, but from the world we live in.”
