Former fans of Colleen Ballinger continue to share their experiences with the controversial YouTube star.
The Blast recently covered the ongoing social media discussion surrounding the various allegations of inappropriate behavior Ballinger has shown toward his young fans.
Ballinger, who is in his thirties, rose to fame more than a decade ago on YouTube as ‘Miranda Sings’. Ballinger’s success with her ‘Miranda’ moniker has inspired merchandise, a Netflix series and a worldwide tour.
We looked at an account from former fan Adam McIntyre, who has been very vocal in sharing insights into his professional and personal relationship with the YouTube star.
The two became friends when McIntyre was still a minor, and their exchanges often involved topics of discussion that were quite mature for McIntyre, then a teenager. He detailed his relationship with Ballinger in a series of YouTube videos.
McIntyre wasn’t the only person to come forward with a personal story about Ballinger. A young woman, referred to as Becky on her TikTok account, recently shared her encounter; when she was younger, Becky attended a Miranda Sings concert where she was chosen to take part in a sketch in which Ballinger (dressed as Miranda) had Becky lie on stage with her legs spread wide while the sound of farts played over the speakers.
Becky Goes In More Detail About How That Meeting Left Her Feelings In TikTok
In the nearly three-minute clip, Becky recalls a moment she will “never forget.”
The viral screenshot depicts 16-year-old Becky in the above position; Becky continued, “I was lying under Colleen, and she was smiling at me as thousands of people laughed, and I was afraid my body wasn’t covered enough by the spandex or the romper” she was wearing.

“I felt naked, so it felt very sexually offensive. I’m younger, and my body is still growing; being comfortable with myself, so for him to use my body as entertainment on stage gave me back a lot of confidence,” continued Becky.
She described the uncomfortable looks she received after the show from men while walking back to her car. “I didn’t feel safe leaving that place,” Becky said.
“Colleen exploited my little body for entertainment and money and did not protect my safety,” she said. “As an outsider looking at the situation, it may seem like it’s no big deal, but it’s pretty scary for my teenage self, especially someone who loves and looks up to Colleen.”
He went on to detail the impact of the experience by continuing, “But I can’t say anything because everyone loves him. But here he is. He uses children to his advantage. I am still a minor, and again he did not protect me.”
Becky ended her TikTok with a warning to parents to take their kids to a Miranda Sings concert; he warned that doing so could result in “years of trauma.”
He’ll be making a follow-up TikTok earlier this week, offering an additional perspective.
Becky Shares Additional Perspectives In Rolling Stone Interview
A Rolling Stone article published Wednesday included multiple accounts from Ballinger fans. Becky expanded on her feelings while going viral to the outlet.
“I was embarrassed in that position,” Becky recalled. “I was surprised. But I have so many friends like that [the fandom] that I don’t necessarily want to lose. So for a while, I pretended to be like, ‘Yeah, that’s funny.’ I was worried that I would be called ungrateful because I had to go on stage. I trust him and have looked up to him for a long time. I didn’t think he would do something like that,” he concluded.
As of this writing, Ballinger has yet to speak about the various allegations since they first surfaced earlier this month. However, many of his fans have come to his defense, especially in the comments section of his latest Instagram post.
