This past weekend, Cardi B was performing at Drai’s Beach Club when things took a bit of a turn for the worse. The DJ asked the audience to throw water at Cardi B, something she happily encouraged them to do. After a certain number had passed, and the rapper was performing his hit song “Bodak Yellow” a woman in the audience threw her drink, catching Cardi B in the face. Enraged, the rapper switched the microphone to his good hand and pointed it at the audience, reportedly hitting another member. The person hit by the microphone went to authorities and filed a “battery” complaint, but now the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has dropped a criminal investigation into the incident, citing “insufficient evidence.”
In a statement, LVMPD said, “After a thorough review of this case and in consultation with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed due to insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in this case.”
Lawyers for the Grammy Award winner further responded by thanking the police for the “diligent and prompt resolution of this matter”, in a statement reported by several outlets.
The “WAP” rapper was not named in the police department’s statement, but his appearance at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas matched the address on the incident report.
The incident didn’t sit well with many on social media as one person wrote, “*tells everyone at the concert to throw water at him* *gets angry when it lands on his hair and goes on a violent rampage* sounds about right… Another agreed, “ Sort of where you’re going to ask people to splash you with water and then get angry when they do.”
Later in the show, Cardi B explained that while she was asking people to throw water on her earlier, a sudden drink in her face triggered her.

An issue with the hard drive caused the track to skip and jump, showing the audience they were lip syncing and not actually singing.
When Cardi B paused her rap, got shocked by the water, and then booed her in front of the crowd, the song “Bodak Yello” continued to play, showing fans that she was lip-syncing and not actually rapping at the time.

The final straw, or should we stay on the ropes, came early when Cardi B took the stage last Friday at Drai Nightclub. In a video shot by a truly horrified concertgoer, Cardi B was twirling around on stage when it became clear that the mother of two was panty-free.
The rapper moved to the side of the stage, holding her gold-fringed dress by her lady’s side with his hands and swaying her hips, enough for concertgoers to inadvertently record her command, with tampon strings being waved in sync with her dancing. You can watch NSFW videos here which has left fans disgusted and wondering why she won’t wear underwear when on her period. For many others, it’s just a matter of indecent exposure because they feel it’s not right from someone who is a parent.
