Beloved actor Robin Williams remains in the hearts of his family and friends as they sing his praises and remember his unbreakable legacy.
The entertainer, whose reputation preceded him as one of the all-time great stand-up comedians, rocked the world following his tragic death. The brilliant actor died on August 11, 2014, at the age of 63.

Zak, for his part, took to his Instagram to post a touching photo of his dad wearing a white collared button-down shirt and headphones while smiling in the 1987 war comedy “Good Morning Vietnam.”
Captioning the post, she sweetly wrote, “Happy 72nd Dad! I remembered how much I loved that look you gave me. That look with that mischievous, loving smile that your friends and loved ones know. Happy and curious and amazing. Miss you and love you forever”!
Voicing their wishes for Zak and his family, fans flocked to the comments section to write kind messages. One fan revealed, “He saved me so many times ? I will love Robin Williams forever ❣️❣️❣️.”
Another fan stated, “I live pretty close to the ‘Mork and Mindy’ house and sometimes drive past it because your dad was the light of my childhood, even though I never met him in person. Grateful for all the goodness he added to the world for so many of us.”

Zak Talks About His Father’s Final Years Before His Unfortunate Death
As the world continued to celebrate the late actor’s life, only the comedian’s close friends and family had the opportunity to witness the trauma Williams went through during his final moments.
His eldest son Zak, who he shares with his first wife Valerie Velardie, opened up to listeners on “The Genius Life” podcast during a conversation with podcaster Max Lugavere. According to the 40-year-old actor, he and his family believe a misdiagnosis by the late comedian’s medical team contributed to Williams’ death.
The comedian was told years before his death that he had Parkinson’s disease. However, an autopsy revealed he likely did not have the condition.

It was later noted that he may have a disorder more similar to tia. Zak also believes that some of the drugs given to Williams to treat what doctors think is Parkinson’s could be having a negative effect on his health.
Zak remembered his father who was too disappointed with his situation. He revealed that the comedian’s mental capacity was beginning to wane, telling Lugavere, the podcast’s host, “Remember lightning fast – that’s his signature [on stage].”
Unfortunately, as the disease progressed, it became more difficult for Williams to make those quick cognitive reactions. That spontaneous reaction is typical of him on and off stage, so it was very disappointing.
Due to a misdiagnosis, Williams did not get the medication he needed to help fight his illness, driving him deeper and deeper into chronic depression.
