Miss Alabama for America 2021 and conservative commentator Zoe Sozo Bethel has died after injuries sustained in an accident. Her family issued an official statement through Zoe’s IG page. The post read, “On Friday, February 18, 2022, at approximately 5:30 am Eastern time in Miami, Florida, our beloved Zoe Sozo Bethel passed from this life to the next as a result of succumbing to her injuries. “
It further stated, “Zoe touched the hearts of many and was actively involved with several organizations and groups namely, she was Miss Alabama (for America Strong), a political commentator for RSBN, a Brand Ambassador for Turning Point USA, and Liberty University’s Falkirk Center. He is also a spokesperson for Students for Life and affiliated with Project Veritas.”
The post continued, “During this time of grief, effective and heartfelt prayers are requested for the family members, and the family asks that their wishes for privacy be respected and honored. The family members sincerely appreciate all the kind words and expressions of love for Zoe. To them who would like to show additional support, you can click on the link above. This support will help cover the costs of medical and funeral management for Zoe.”
The family also set up a GoFundMe page as he underwent multiple surgeries. The page raised over $41,220 in donations. He reportedly does not have health insurance.
Zoe Sozo’s Bethel family
Zoe Sozo Bethel was born to her famous parents Orlando and Glynis Bethel. They lived in Loxley, Alabama, and sometimes in Nashville, gaining fame as lawsuit evangelists, always suing when they believed they had been treated with “police brutality”. His mother is a self-proclaimed “prophet at New Life Gospel Productions Inc.
In 2011, Glynis was arrested for pepper-spraying a woman who objected to his anti-gay preaching. But, as the officer moves to arrest him, he also pepper sprays him. After being released on bond three days later, his mother issued a press release in which she charged, “I would rather be beaten and die than let these evil, evil Nashville police officers and white racist bigots get away with breaking the law that they do. should uphold”.
Additionally, Zoe’s father Orlando — who refers to himself as a fire and brimstone preacher in court documents filed a $1 million civil lawsuit against Middletown City Schools in April 2011. He filed the lawsuit after Zoe wore a T-shirt at the high school that said “ god hate (expletive)” and “repent or burn in hell.”

His parents filed more than 50 similar federal lawsuits — mostly in the South — against school districts, police agencies, villages and cities. In January, the couple filed a lawsuit against the Boone County Board of Education in Florence, Kentucky that same year. Bethel gained attention throughout the South for similar suits.
